Joyce Kleiber Was A Long-Time Member Of Low Vision Now, Formerly Known As The Delaware Valley Council Of Citizens With Low Vision. Joyce Gave Much Of Her Time Helping Members Cope With Their Feelings About Their Reduced Sight. She Attended Meetings Each Month And As The Membership Chair For Many Years, She Enabled New And Continuing Members To Have Someone To Turn To For Answers To Their Questions.
On The International Level, For Numerous Years, Joyce Was The Proactive Editor Of Vision Access, The Publication Of The Council Of Citizens With Low Vision International. In That Role, Joyce Solicited Articles From National And International Members. When Needed, Joyce Assisted Article Contributors With The Writing Of Their Informational, Educational And Resource-Oriented Articles.
Joyce Passed Away On July 24, 2024, After A Long-Term Illness.
We Honor Joyce By Having The Joyce Kleiber Fund As Part Of Low Vision Now. The Fund Will Be Used To Support An Area Which Joyce Was Passionate About. She Wanted Low Vision Now, Formerly The Delaware Valley Council Of Citizens With Low Vision, To Have A Means For People With Low Vision To Call Someone To Learn About The Group And To Ask Questions And Have Them Answered.
